Courses Arrangement
   
 1. 4-year BA(hons) Degree
 Courses Mode: 1-3 system
The first year is supervised by the foundation sector of Design College. Courses include: Graphic Color Composing, Space and Form, Sketching, Creative Expression, Sociology of Design, Psychology of Aesthetics, Contemporary Art and Design, Methodology of Information, History of Design, etc.

 The second to the forth year is supervised by our department. There are 3 main specialty modules, including:

A. Foundation of Artistic Forms
Artistic forms (both 2D and 3D) are the appearance,
sometime as well as contents of crafts. Forms can reflect the reality world and express aesthetic sentiments. Therefore, creating artistic forms is the essential element for art & craft design specialty- an integration of techniques and skills, knowledge and experience, taste and sentiment. This module contains three main categories: Foundation of Concrete
Forms, Foundation of imaginary Forms, and Foundation of Abstract Forms.

B. Foundation of Art &Crafts
 Foundation of Art &Crafts is embodiment of craft design knowledge, culture, theory, and creativity; it tells the inter-cross characteristic of crafts. Students can learn the necessary knowledge, culture, and skills; they also learn how to effectively negotiate and connect with design and product. Courses include theory, history, style studies, material manufacturing, Foundation of Artistic forms, and foundation of CAD, etc.

C. Creative Design
Creative design courses prepare students to learn craft design theory, method, and law as a composition, basing on the two previous modules.This module relates the harmonizing and interaction between decorative art and 2D, 3D,as well as spatial environments.

 After the 4 years' study, only the students finish all the subject and optional courses as request and get 60 points or better can graduate and be certificated; those who reach 75 grades in Graduation Project & Thesis also get honored BA Degree.

2. 3-year MA(hons) Courses
We pass on our MA(hons) courses in the way of one-to-one tutorial system and small-group discussion, by which enhance students' ability to do academic research in a self-managed way .Based on our present staff, we offer specialty research pathways on Decorative Color, Decorative Design,
Decorative Painting and Decorative Sculpture, etc.

Besides the public courses, students are required to finish 6 compulsory courses and 2 optional courses and get at least 60 points within their first and second years, and then they can enter the metaphase selection process. Passing the assessment and the approval of thesis topic selection, they
can continue to their final project and thesis, and receive their MA(hons) until they got at least 75 grade in these 2 main courses.
