Courses Arrangement
1. 4-year BA(hons) Degree
Courses Mode: 1-3 system The first year is supervised by the foundation sector of Design College. Courses include: Graphic Color Composing, Image: description and reproduction, Idea Expression, Creative Expression, Sociology of Design, Aesthetic Psychology, Contemporary Art and Design, Information Technology,History of Design, etc.
The second to the forth year is supervised by our department.Courses are structured into 2 stages:
Stage one, specialist courses take place during the
second and the third year. The courses offer students a
broad based education with opportunities to select and
combine a range of specialist subject modules in the field of
Graphic Design.
Stage two, the forth year allows students to identify their
own interests and develop a special focus on "Advertising
Design" or "Graphic Design". Students have the
opportunity to develop their potentials and qualifications on
a specialist pathway relevant to their career. Graduation
Project and Thesis is proposed by the student and realized
through tutored independent work, which is the process
drawing together what they have learnt into a coherent
whole.

The 4th year courses:
Brand Visual Design\ Graduation Thesis Theme Selection\
Design Management\ (Character Design\Web Advertising\
Media Performance\Brand Advertising Mold) or (Thematic
Poster\ Material and Media Integrate\ The Extension Carrier Of Illustration and Graphic\ Experimental Packaging\ Graduation Thesis\Graduation Design
B. Optional Courses
Excluding the first year and the second semester of the
fourth year, students are expected to take optional courses
in the last six weeks of other five semesters.
10 Optional courses are offered by the Graphic Design
Department. They are: Advertising Design\Packing Design\
Commercial Illustration\Webpage Design\Slogan Design\
Logo Illustration Design\Cartoon Image Design\ Foundation
of layout\Graphic Expression\Apple Software.
C. Time and Credits
Time: 4-year BA(hons) consists of 143 weeks (excluding
first week for enrollment and last four weeks for job seeking). There 37 weeks per year, 16 hours of major courses studying per week; therefore, a total of 1696 majorcourse hours and 480 optional course hours are required.
Credits: 4-year BA(hons) consists of 131 credits (major
101 credits, optional 30 credits). These credits can be allocatedas 28 in 1st year, 36 in 2nd year, 36 in 3rd year, and
31 in 4th year. Everything is arranged in a four year (eight
semesters) time frame.
After the 4 years' study, only students finish all the
subject and optional courses as request and get 60 points
or better can graduate and be certificated; those who reach
75 grades in Graduation Project & Thesis is honnoured BA
Degree.
2. 3-year MA(Hons) Degree
We pass on our courses in the way of one-to-one tutorial
system and small-group discussion, by which enhance
students' ability to do academic research in a self-managed
way .Based on our present staff, we offer specialty pathways of Research on Advertising Design, Research on Graphic Design, etc. Supervised by the tutors group, students are demanded to finish 6 compulsory courses and 2 optional courses and get at least 60 grades within their first and second years, and then they can enter the metaphase
selection process. Passing the assessment and the approval
of thesis topic selection, they can continue to their final project and thesis, and gained their MA(hons) Degrees until they got at least 75 grades in these 2 main courses.
