  Facilities

The facilities of Design College is listed as below:

1. Office building 19000m2 (over 12m2 for each student). 24 multi-media classrooms, 113 specialistic classrooms and 47 studio/laboratory rooms.

2. In the 24 multi-media classrooms of 1782m2, 1276 seats, which means 84 seats for every hundred students.

3. In the 47 studio/laboratory rooms of 5530m2, 3730 thousand RMB of instruments, and seats for 1222 students. They are studios of Modeling, Fashion Engineering, Digital Art Design, Ceramic, Photography, Metal Crafting, Textile and Mineral paint.

4. Design College has its own reading room with 110m2, collecting over 10 thousand books, 53 periodicals. Reading room opens whole week for teachers and students.

5. GAFA has build 15 exterior practice bases for students to gain practical experience. The subsidiary company" Guangdong Jasmine Design & Construction Company "with "2A" authentication, has become one of the primary supports of the Manufacture-
Education-Research Cooperation. Moreover, each specialty and programme will have particular practicesite by its own feature and condition.

6. An Integral Building of Design is under construction in our Chang Gang school site, expecting to be in service by September of 2006. The building is going to be a multi-function center of design education,
which combining with design education, research, developing and promoting function by the mode of Manufacture-Education-Research Cooperation. Inside this building, the first design museum of China will be set up, to be collecting and showing famous design works from all over the world. On the other hand, under coalition with market leaders, some Corporation Design Center will be established to explore new paths to carry out the Manufacture-Education-Research Cooperation. There will also be a Center of Designer's Further Education, for broadening professional knowledge and training specialistic skills. Through carrying out all these functions the building will become a premier design education base of China.
