The aim of talent cultivation of Design College: to educate apply-type design professionals with comprehensive adaptability, sensitivity of market and practical ability.

This aim summarizes the experiences of the past two decades. The most important feature of design programme is to follow the progress of society and economy, and to insist to "combining the orient and the west, sustaining the history, pursuing innovations, following the present times, interacting with the market, cooperating with the business." Design College has deeply rooted in the prospering Pearl River Delta with the principle of "Design education should serve the development of Guangdong's society and economy." The Manufacture-Education-Research Cooperation mode is coincident with the intrinsic logic of modern design education, moreover, meets the exigent need
of building Guangdong into a powerful province of economy, education and culture.
