The Educational Concept
The educational concept of Design College : Based on bachelor education, energetically develop post-graduate education, so as to build a top rank compound-type college, which is amalgamated into
the Pearl River Delta, also has high reputation in South China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and the whole Southeast Asia.
Three key characteristics of this concept:
1. Regards "For Student" as root: Design is for human, more than that, design education is also for human. Keeping this in mind, our text books, teaching methods, management, and services should all take student's development into account.
2. Highlight the "Practice" in education: We insist that design education must highly be involved with market. Practice conduct through all teaching procedures, to help students develop their own creative
sensitivity with actualizing ability.
3. Stress on dynamic of design educations: Design education has always been involved with the economic and social development. The rapid exploding economy of the Pearl River Delta is surely leading to subversive design theories and dynamic design education systems. A dynamic design education must deepen the reformation of talent cultivation by the guideline of social requirement. A dynamic design education must transform the traditional static education which based
on theories, into dynamic multiform education, also encourage student and teacher learning together, and encourage teacher to be independent on teaching method.
